Office of Professional Standards
Matcom Office of Professional Standards ensures the integrity of our protective services officers, communications personnel, Detectives, Supervisors, and all other agency personnel. We conduct an objective and intensive investigation of any allegations of misconduct. The Office of Professional Standards is responsible for helping the agency in maintaining its credibility and reputation to its members and the public it serves.
This office is responsible for investigating all complaints from its clients. These complaints may include abuse of authority, excessive force, ethnic slurs, and civil rights violations. It also accepts complaints made by department members against other employees, being the one responsible for tracking and maintaining files for all complaints.

Report the incident to an on-duty field operations supervisor.
Our field operations supervisors are available 24/7. To request to speak with a supervisor regarding an allegation of misconduct, call 800-922-0866. Personnel are available to accept complaints and compliments at all satellite offices in Baltimore, Maryland and nationwide.

To send your complaints and compliments directly to an investigator in the Office of Professional Standards, call 800-922-0866. They are available from Monday to Friday during normal business hours for scheduling an appointment.
We also understand there may be times when our agency members do not meet standards. If you would like to file a complaint, fill out the form below and let our agency know. Our Professional Standards unit records all submissions and will investigate any allegations of misconduct.
